After reading the book, both of us felt very close to Emma and her journey. We had similar experiences as sensitive kids with vivid imaginations, and we knew what it felt like when we too had to learn about balancing our need for fantasy with the realities of growing up. The musical became just as much about us as it did Emma, and not surprisingly, it has connected with many kids and grownups as it has been performed over the past five years.
We are thrilled to have Stage 62 continue the "real adventure" we started and introduce Emma's story to a new audience. Hold on to your horns ... adventure awaits! ---Marcus Stevens and Sam Willmott |
