Twelve Angry Men

A jury has just finished listening to six days of trial proceedings and retreats to a hot, crowded room to deliberate. A nineteen-year old man is on trial for the murder of his father. The defendant has a criminal record and a lot of circumstantial evidence piled against him — and if found guilty, would receive a mandatory death penalty. It looks like an open-and-shut case for the jurors. Or is it? Testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted, tempers get short, and the jurors become 12 angry men. Their final verdict and how they reach it—in tense scenes that will electrify audiences and keep them on the edge of their seats—make this magnificent play one of the great works of 20th century drama.
