Hello, Dolly!

“And what do you do for a living, Mrs. Levi?” asks Ambrose Kemper in the first scene of this most delightful of musical comedies. “Some people paint, some sew...I meddle,” replies Dolly. Hello, Dolly! follows the adventures of widow Mrs. Dolly Levi as she sets her sights on marrying the well-known half-a-millionaire Horace Vandergelder. Her journey is a whirlwind race around New York at the turn of the twentieth century, where Dolly manages to “put her hand in” to arrange a few more romances in addition to her own!

Dolly is an ebullient and irresistible story of the joy of living, fit for the whole family and glittering with memorable songs including Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Before the Parade Passes By, Elegance, It Only Takes a Moment and of course, Hello, Dolly!

Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman ; Book by Michael Stewart
Produced through special arrangement with Tams-Witmark
