What started in Bethel Park in 1962 (yes, that’s where the name comes from!) as an adult education theater project turned into a thriving theater company that has produced shows continuously ever since.

Stage 62 is the non-profit theater company in residence at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall in Carnegie, PA. What started in Bethel Park in 1962 (yes, that’s where the name comes from!) as an adult education theater project turned into a thriving theater company that has produced shows continuously ever since.
The mission of Stage 62 is to actively contribute to the
cultural life of Carnegie and surrounding Pittsburgh
communities by providing exceptional, affordable
theatrical productions for all ages. We also pride
ourselves on cultivating community-centered
experiences for artists and creatives at all levels of
expertise. In pursuit of our mission, we place emphasis
on providing theatrical experiences that are both joyful
and inclusive for all peoples on stage, backstage, and in
our audiences.
We’re honored to have been recognized by Allegheny
County Council for "enhancing the cultural life in
Allegheny County" in December of 2017.
